How to Create a Second  Page on a Tumblr Photo Blog
With an interface like a cross between a fully-featured blogging service and a micro-blog, Tumblr is ideal for running a photo blog. A single photo post can feature an individual photo or a customizable photo set up with up to 10 photos. However, customizing your photo blog on Tumblr can be a little confusing. If you want to create an individual page on your Tumblr blog for offering more information about your blog, such as model releases or contact information, you can do this from the customization menu. Pages are different from text posts in that they are static, can be edited at any time and cannot be re-blogged like a text post.
1. Go to the customization page by clicking your blog name at the top of your dashboard; this takes you to your Tumblelog, which displays a dashboard-like view of your own posts. Click the "Customize Appearance" button below the "Open Username" button on the right sidebar. You can also view this page by going to tumblr.com/customize/username.

2. Select the "Pages" header on the left-side pane of blog preview. This will collapse your page options. Click "Add a Page" link to create a new page on your Tumblr blog. The "Add a Page" options will pop up in a new window; if your browser blocks pop-ups, you will need to allow them for this.

3. Choose the type of page from the drop-down box at the top of the window. Your options are "Standard Layout," which uses your Tumblr layout for the page; "Custom Layout," which creates a blank page that you can then create from scratch using HTML; and "Redirect," which allows you to create a Tumblr URL that redirects to another page. For example, "username.tumblr.com/coffeebook" could redirect to the Amazon page where you're selling your coffee table book. Redirects can also be used to create a shorter link to a tag page. For instance, if you want a page of all photos tagged "dog," you could create "username.tumblr.com/dog" and redirect it to "username.tumblr.com/tagged/dog".

4. Create the page URL and title. If you want to include a link to your page on your Tumblr blog, click the check box beside "Show a Link to this Page." Fill in your content, if applicable for the Standard or Custom layouts; fill in the link to redirect to for a Redirect page.

5. Click the "Create Page" button in the lower left corner when you're done. Most themes will display links your pages on the sidebar or the top of your blog, if you've set the page to do so. You can also link users directly to your page via the URL.

6. Click "Save" at the top of the left pane of the customization page to save the changes to your Tumblr blog. You can create as many pages as you want.
